Add Character to Your Bathroom - The Rustic Bathroom Trend

Spiking in popularity over recent years, the rustic bathroom trend is a modernised progression from much-loved shabby chic interiors, taking on the appeal of using worn raw materials (such as wood and stone) to enhance character and make your space feel lived in.

We spoke to our Co-Director Leigh Price, who provided us with his top tips/styling suggestions when wishing to achieve a rustic bathroom.

Establish your interior with your choice of tile

"When wishing to introduce a rustic feel into your space, we tend to see many customers opting for stone-effect tiles, to re-create the highly coveted 'stripped-back' appeal of timeless country homes" says Leigh.

"A popular example of this, and one of my personal favourites, is Flaviker's Re_Tour range, which features a trendy worn effect."

"Inspired by French rustic stone, the collection greatly appeals to customers who are looking to build character in their homes, as the intentional imperfections and natural shade variation of the range offers both uniqueness and authenticity."

With a choice of five neutral shades to suit every interior, Flaviker's Re-Tour range is available to shop at Real Stone, Tile & Bathroom.

Enhance your surroundings with themed fixtures

Leigh comments: "Another great way in which homeowners can easily incorporate a rustic feel into their bathrooms is through their choice of brassware." "Brushed brass and copper shades are both ideal options for those who are aiming to achieve an 'unpolished' interior, and we have also seen several leading brassware brands now offering intentionally worn styles to fit this aesthetic."

A prime example of a leading luxury bathroom brand offering modern rustic brassware and fixtures is Bagnodesign.

Our personal favourite brassware shade from Bagnodesign is 'Soft Bronze', as its worn metal effect complements a variety of different interior schemes.
