Although it may only be October, we're starting to get excited for the new interior design trends that will be on our radars in 2019. A new year means new designs and new styles which can be incorporated throughout our homes.
We will be on the lookout for brand new tile trends at the annual Cersaie show in Bologna, the destination event where the world of ceramic tiles come together.
Co-director, Leigh Price is taking a look at the trends he expects will make a big impact in 2019!
Looking to 2019, there is a new tile trend emerging which heavily contrasts to those we saw in previous years; metallic tones. Oozing in glamour and style, gold, silver and copper are shades that have recently made a welcoming renaissance onto the tile scene, providing an upscale and elegant vibe, these tiles are the perfect accent tones that really make your interiors sparkle.
Another trend which has been slowly growing throughout 2018 is texture, adding this into your interiors is a great way of accentuating your space and adding some real character to your home. You can create eye-catching feature walls, stylish bathroom tiling or unique kitchen splash backs with these adventurous tiles.
Marble, the all-time favourite, will continue to steal the spotlight in 2019. One of the biggest trends of the last few years, marble has taken interiors by storm and I don't expect it to slow down anytime soon.
An extremely versatile material, marble is a sophisticated design that can be used throughout the home; used on a small scale, it can instantaneously create a more high-end look, whilst in larger areas, can be used as a focal point to create a head-turning, statement-making feature.
Real Stone & Tile is open to both the trade and the public, specialising in a wide range of tiles. The tile and bathroom suite retailer also boasts a vast portfolio of contemporary and designer tiles, large format tiles, natural stone tiles, wood effect tiles, feature tiles and mosaics, sanitary ware, wet rooms and brassware.
